Description
An original Great Britain General Service Medal 1918–1962 awarded with Cyprus and Near East clasps, recognising active service during the post-Second World War period 1945–1948. The medal is officially impressed to 23461742 PTE P. KITSON A. & S.H., confirming named entitlement and genuine issue.
The obverse bears the crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, while the medal is fitted with the correct purple and green General Service ribbon and period clasps. Campaign medals with multiple clasps such as this are particularly desirable, reflecting service across more than one operational theatre during a complex phase of British military history.
