This rare creation was a collaboration between Georg Jensen, and designer Astrid Fog. It was handcrafted from solid sterling silver, with a half disk design. It measures 18cm long and weighs a hefty 124.2 grams. As a pre-loved vintage piece it has some light wear from use, but is in lovely condition overall.
In 1969, Astrid Fog released her first jewellery collection for Georg Jensen, and is noted for her modernist sensibilities and combinations of simple geometric shapes, such as circles, squares, and rectangles. Her jewellery is distinctive in its large bold shapes, often utilizing lightweight, hollow silver forms. Although unconventional, her jewellery stands as a testament of the fashions of her time period.
