A rare limited edition Floral Emblems of Australia art piece commissioned and inspected by The Perth Mint to commemorate the Centenary of Australian Federation in 2001.

Numbered 037 from an edition of only 100, the substantial framed presentation combines reproductions of nine original botanical artworks by six botanical artists with an official Perth Mint $20 Centenary of Federation bi-metal proof coin.

The 32.1mm legal tender coin features a 99.99% pure gold centre surrounded by 99.9% pure silver, containing approximately 0.285 troy oz of gold and 0.346 troy oz of silver. Its distinctive seven pointed star design represents the Australian states and territories, surrounded by Australia’s floral emblems.

The botanical artwork depicts the national, state and territory floral emblems of Australia, including Golden Wattle, Royal Bluebell, Waratah, Sturt’s Desert Rose, Cooktown Orchid, Sturt’s Desert Pea, Tasmanian Blue Gum, Common Heath and Red and Green Kangaroo Paw.

Original signatures from the participating botanical artists appear on the lower panel and, according to the accompanying Perth Mint Certificate of Authenticity, were witnessed by officers of The Perth Mint.

The complete presentation measures approximately 865 x 1170mm and weighs approximately 10kg. It is professionally mounted using conservation materials and presented behind UV protective acrylic in an ornate hand finished frame.

The original Perth Mint Certificate of Authenticity remains attached to the reverse, confirming the specifications and provenance of the piece.

Pre owned and in very good overall condition. There is some age related wear and marking to the ornate frame and presentation, as seen in the photos. The original Perth Mint Certificate of Authenticity remains attached to the reverse.
