Description

This beautiful mezzotint print is the work of Japanese artist Yukio Katsuda. It is printed on high quality paper and has been hand signed and numbered.

The paper size is approximately 47x32cm.

Yukio Katsuda, born in Kyoto in 1941, is a contemporary printmaker renowned for his vibrant silkscreen prints. His artwork often highlights natural scenes, characterized by vivid colors and a nearly palpable texture. Katsuda’s contemporary prints are part of the collection at the Art Institute of Chicago.

“Hors Commerce,” which translates to “out of trade” in English, refers to prints that, like Artist’s Proofs (APs), are not part of the standard edition. However, HCs are exclusively obtained directly from the artist. Due to their rarity, HCs are considered the most valuable among special edition prints.

We are a second-hand dealer so most of our items are pre-loved and as such have signs of wear and use. We strive to refurbish items where possible, and only sell jewellery that is in good condition.
