Description

Born in Austria in 1943, Rishe studied at the Vienna Academy of Arts before coming to Australia via Africa and India after completing his military service.

After working for a time as a stockman, crocodile and buffalo hunter, opal miner and dingo trapper in the Northern Territory, he moved to Brisbane where he painted scenes of the northern cattle areas.

This piece has some cracks in the paint as shown in the photos.
