In 1984, he received a fellowship from the Japanese government to further his studies in printmaking in the United States. Specializing in techniques like aquatint, mezzotint, drypoint, and etching, Kuroda is known for his mastery of fine lines and delicate tonal variations. His works have been showcased globally and are held in prestigious collections, including the Chicago Art Institute, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the British Museum.
