Description

This antique notebook holder was crafted by the German company WMF around WW1.

The holder features a central oval wreath on the cover, surrounded by hammered brass panels with beaded edges. The cover flips up to hold the notepad between the top edges. The back panel, also hammered brass, has four small feet indentations and carries the WMF mark in the center.

The paper appears to have a lot of age and is marked with “No 7061”. We are unsure if its the original paper.

Measuring approximately 10.5cm wide and 17.5cm long, this piece has developed a beautiful patina, which we’ve preserved with only a light cleaning. If you choose to polish it, it’s sure to shine beautifully.

We are a second-hand dealer so most of our items are pre-loved and as such have signs of wear and use. We strive to refurbish items where possible, and only sell jewellery that is in good condition.
