The coin purse is crafted to securely store a sovereign, half sovereign, shilling, sixpence, and threepence. Made from nickel with a silver vermeil finish, it showcases an elegant ivy and acanthus scroll design on both sides. The Sovereign markings feature an English rose, while the other coins boast a finely detailed mandala engraving.
One side of the purse has circular indentations designed to hold 1/-, 6d, and 3d coins. These indentations are equipped with spring-loaded covers that snap down to secure the coins, each cover marked with ‘1/-‘, ‘6d’, and ‘3d’. The rest of the surface is adorned with intricate leaf and vine scrollwork. The opposite side contains two recessed areas for the half-sovereign and sovereign, also embellished with leaf and vine motifs across the remaining surface.
As a vintage piece it has some character and wear with some of the plating having worn off as shown in the photos.
