A bold and distinctive timepiece from Seiko’s golden era of automatic chronographs, the 6139-7100—nicknamed the “Helmet” for its uniquely shaped case—delivers vintage character with serious retro appeal. Produced circa 1976, this model features Seiko’s in-house calibre 6139 movement, one of the world’s first automatic chronograph calibres.
The wide, sculpted stainless steel case sits comfortably on the wrist and houses a deep-set dial with day-date function. With its unmistakable ‘70s styling and solid mechanical pedigree, the Seiko Helmet is a cult favourite among collectors and enthusiasts alike. Please note the inner bezel on this model does not rotate.
It comes with a stainless steel band which is approximately 20cm long.
This watch is in good condition with some signs of age, including some patina to the dial and hands. It is running well but has not been serviced. Please see the photos as they form part of the description.
